Erica Sedlander, DrPH, MPH

Dr. Sedlander is an Assistant Professor and Social and Behavioral Scientist. Her research portfolio seeks to uncover mechanisms to help women achieve their reproductive goals throughout the life course (from pregnancy prevention to infertility prevention).

Dr. Sedlander developed and validated the G-NORM, a gender norms scale, in India, Nepal, and Uganda. As part of her dissertation, Dr. Sedlander and colleagues also implemented and evaluated a randomized controlled trial in India to improve nutritional behaviors among women using a social norms approach.

Dilys Walker, MD

Dilys Walker is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. She serves as the Director of Global Health Research for the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and the Director of the Institute for Global Health Science (IGHS) Center for Global Maternal Newborn Child Health Research. As a clinician researcher, her academic career has focused on global implementation research in limited resource settings, taking a life course approach to improving outcomes for women, mothers, and their newborns.

Biftu has been a clinician-educator in the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Division of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences since 2017. She works clinically in Labor and Delivery, Gynecology and Family Planning at ZSFG. She is currently the Associate Residency Program Director, the Associate Director for the Complex Family Planning Fellowship, and the Director for Innovating Education in Reproductive Health.

Dr. Monica Hahn is a Clinical Professor at UCSF in the Department of Family & Community Medicine. As a family physician, HIV specialist, and Clinical Director/Co-Principal Investigator of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC) and The Training and Health Equity Collaborative, Monica’s work centers around promoting health and wellness for HIV-affected families with an emphasis on integrating HIV prevention and treatment, as well as sexual and reproductive wellness, into primary care.
