Jody Steinauer, MD, PhD is the Philip D. Darney Distinguished Professor of Family Planning and Reproductive Health in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). She is the Director of the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and the Director of the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program in Family Planning.

She is a physician and public health researcher focused on advancing health equity through implementation science and digital health innovation.

My research focuses on the social and health system factors underlying inequities in reproductive, maternal, neonatal, and child health (RMNCH) globally. I am particularly interested in how RMNCH outcomes are shaped by the quality of care in health facilities as well as by social determinants. I also have an interest in the well-being and motivation of the health workforce.

Helen Arega

Helen Arega is a dedicated advocate for reproductive justice, with a focus on supporting women throughout their reproductive life span. She obtained her MA in Urban Affairs and Public Policy, specializing in Reproductive Health, from the University of Delaware. Since 2017, Helen has been associated with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where she has held various positions in research, community engagement, and project management.

Ifeyinwa Asiodu, PhD, RN, FAAN

Ifeyinwa Asiodu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing at University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. As a researcher, registered nurse, and lactation consultant, her research is focused on the intersection of racism, systemic and structural barriers, life course perspective, and human milk and lactation. Dr. Asiodu uses a critical ethnographic lens to inform her work.

Amy Autry, MD

Dr. Meg Autry is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and the interim Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCSF, Fresno. In her clinical practice, she does obstetrics and complex gynecology. Her areas of interest include family planning and benign gynecology. Dr. Autry is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators and serves on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology's Complex Family Planning Division. She is the past president of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and of the SF Gyn Society.

Finley Baba

Finley Baba (she/her) is a Senior Project Manager for the Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) program at Bixby. She is involved in ANSIRH’s body of work around expanding access to medication abortion through alternative models of provision. Finley has been at ANSIRH since 2016 and has worked on a number of different studies across the program focused on abortion access in the United States, as well as research around abortion policy and health professionals’ attitudes and willingness to provide abortion in Chile.
