Joelle Brown, PhD

Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics

Dr. Brown is an epidemiologist at UCSF and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She carries out reproductive health research in the developed and developing world, including work on the prevention of female reproductive tract infections, measurement and consequences of vaginal practices, and the acceptability, safety and effectiveness of candidate vaginal microbicides. She is currently Principal Investigator for a National Institutes of Mental Health K01 award and a UC Global Health Institute faculty fellowship.
