Communications Specialist, California Prevention Training Center

Jennifer Rogers is the California Prevention Training Center (CAPTC)'s Communications Specialist. Ms. Rogers oversees a comprehensive communications program focused on both resilient internal communications systems and external communications strategies that raise the organization’s visibility.

Ms. Rogers joined the CAPTC after serving as the communications lead at Health Connected, a sexual health education nonprofit. There she provided puberty and sexual health education to more than 3,000 youth and played a key role in the integration of AB 329, which mandates comprehensive sex in California’s public schools. With a background in education, Jennifer has delivered HIV/STD prevention and family planning programs both domestically and abroad.

Prior to that, Ms. Rogers spearheaded community outreach efforts at a large environmental consulting firm that resulted in lifesaving levee improvements throughout the Sacramento Valley.
