Training on Ethical Issues in HIV/AIDS Research in India

A component of the Samuha-UCSF collaborative project on Adolescent Livelihoods and Reproductive Health, this project provides training on ethical issues in HIV/AIDS research for Fogarty International AIDS Training and Research Program (FIATRP) trainees from India, Indian collaborators and UCB/UCSF staff involved in collaborative projects in India. This training will serve to build capacity in UCB/UCSF and collaborating Indian institutions to conduct ethically sound HIV/AIDS research and to promote cross-cultural understanding of ethical issues in HIV/AIDS research. Training will occur both at UCB/UCSF and in Mumbai and Bangalore, India, where WGHI has three ongoing collaborative research projects.
