Senior Statistician/Health Informaticist, UCSF Family PACT Evaluation

Ms. Navarro specializes in monitoring health care service delivery, public health, and geographic-based demographic data in California. Ms. Navarro has worked with the UCSF Family PACT evaluation team since 2001, utilizing SAS technologies to analyze very large and complex health care data (Medicaid administrative claims and enrollment data). In 2014, she began working on a PCORI grant-funded team to increase adherence to cervical cancer screening guidelines for young women. For example, she developed SAS programs to use Medi-Cal’s MIS/DSS data to create annual measures of Cervical Cancer Screening rates (NCQA HEDIS) throughout California’s Medical Service Study Areas (MSSAs).
