The University of California Regents are implementing pay reductions, furloughs and/or other types of measures due to the state budget crisis. This position would be subject to any cost cutting measures implemented at UCSF.

As part of a multidisciplinary team researching the pregnancy outcomes among women in California’s Family Planning Access, Counseling, and Treatment program, this position participates in data analyses addressed to compare the effectiveness of Title X providers with non-Title providers. Writes and executes SAS programs to extract data from large and complex datasets, and performs statistical analyses (descriptive and inferential). Interprets results, and produces reports, including summary text, tables and graphs. Reviews reports for accuracy, usefulness, consistency, and performs other duties as assigned. Note: This position is located in Sacramento.
BA in Computer Science or Social Science or related and 1-2 years experience programming; proficient in Base SAS programming; elementary statistical knowledge; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; able to write up results for a professional audience; ability to sit in front of a computer monitor for long periods of time and enter and create data.
SAS Certified Programmer; completed graduate level inferential statistics course.
