| Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) is seeking a Project Director to lead a team of motivated researchers in a large, innovative study of unintended pregnancy and its effect on women’s lives; the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of study implementation; duties include providing ongoing support and training to twenty six recruitment sites; supervising research staff (including a project assistant, research coordinator, and four research interviewers); overseeing the IRB approval and renewal process; maintaining and analyzing participation data from recruitment sites; maintaining and analyzing participant retention data; assisting in developing study systems; maintaining all study materials, data collection tools, the participant tracking database; and performing other duties as assigned. The University of California Regents are considering implementing pay reductions, furloughs and/or other types of measures due to the state budget crisis. This position would be subject to any cost cutting measures implemented at UCSF. | |
| BA/BS with a major in Public Health or a related field and four years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in abortion research or counseling; experience in reproductive health research; formal training and professional experience designing and implementing health care research in an academic setting; significant prior management and supervisory experience; grant writing experience; able to sit and work at computer for long periods of time; ability and willingness to travel to recruitment sites and national conferences throughout the United States. | Masters degree in Public Health or related field; experience using CATI or similar data collection and management systems; verbal and written fluency in Spanish and English; data analysis skills and experience. | |
