Campaign to Endow a Chair

The Philip D. Darney Distinguished Professorship in Population, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health


To honor Dr. Philip D. Darney's remarkable career, preserve his legacy, and ensure the continuation of his contributions to the field of family planning and reproductive health, UCSF is raising funds for an endowed chair which will ultimately bear his name.  A gift to endow The Philip D. Darney Professorship in Population, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health is a significant way that individuals, foundations, colleagues, former students, and friends can support reproductive health for women and pay tribute to this exceptional scholar and activist.  The goal of the campaign is $2.5 million. To date, over $1,250,000 towards this goal has been raised.
