Research Assistant, Beyond the Pill

Ms. Gurel's research has focused on late 20th century reproductive medicine, including the history of IUD use in Britain between 1962 and 1986. She has also conducted research on the history of medical and nursing education in São Paulo as part of the Princeton-Brazil Global Fellows program. Ms. Gurel has a strong interest in how medical information is communicated to lay audiences and has written for a variety of publications, including Kinsey Confidential.
